When you create and send a broadcast email, you are asked in step 2 whether you'd like to add the email to your newsletter archive. See below.
So how do you get to the email archive? The link is typically visible at the bottom of every page via the page tools. See below:
So here are some issues:
1. You (currently) cannot remove an email from the archive once it has been published there.
2. You (currently) cannot create various categories of email archives (e.g. volunteers, fundraising, etc)
What you can do is remove the page tools (above) from your website. This is a relatively old feature that has limited value anyway -- printing is passe, the rss link is available in various other parts of the site.
Then, if you want to take a more limited approach to the archive, you can either publish the link manually (e.g. in a resources section) or don't publish it at all and share individual emails as desired.
To turn the page tools (above) off: go to:
- website
- site configuration
- preferences
- scroll to the bottom and on Show Page Tools, click No, Dont Display Page Tools.
- Save
To manually link to the newsletter archive. The URL to your newsletter archive is like this: http://blueutopia.com/index.php?page=newsletters (you should change blueutopia.com to your own domain).
The manually link to any single email archive: The URL is always: http://blueutopia.com/modules/newsletters/simpleview.php?id=24 (again, change blueutopia.com to your own domain and alter the id=24 to the id number of your email).
