Chargebacks: Chargebacks are rare, but they do occur from time to time. In the event a donor to your organization disputes a completed donation that has already been funded to your account, your bank account will be debited for the amount of the disputed funds PLUS a chargeback fee of $25 per instance. You will receive notification of all chargebacks, and it is your responsibility to work with your donor to re-process the donation; Blue Utopia does not intervene in these matters.
Voids and Returns: If a donation was a entered incorrectly, or if for any other reason you notify Blue Utopia before the transaction settles (6:00 PM PT), we will void the transaction at no cost. Once the transaction has settled, however, we will direct you to issue any required refund via check. In the event that you need us to issue the refund directly to the credit card, there will be a $5 fee per refund instance.
Returns and Corrections: In the event that Blue Utopia, or our gateway provider Authorize.Net, or any merchant bank processes a credit card transaction or funds an account in error, and the transaction is subsequently corrected, we will perform the corresponding transaction to your account of record for the 'corrected' amount. In the event your account needs to be debited, you agree to make the funds available for this corrected transaction, even if your campaign has since closed. We reserve the right to make corrections for a period of 6 months after the initial transaction.
