The question, to elaborate is can you use your @gmail or other email address in the 'from' field. Like, if your domain is hellenformayor.com, but you use hellenformayor@gmail.com as your primary email, can you put that gmail in the from address?
Like this:
The answer is Yes, but no.
Technically, our system will send it. And the email will get delivered to all reputable email providers. However, there is an ever-increasing body of rules that attempt to filter out spam and unwanted emails. This practice will trigger one filter that is gaining traction called DMARC, which attempts to verify sender authenticity. (more at https://dmarc.org)
The result is that your email is much more likely to be delivered to the bulk folder. For Gmail specifically, it will be delivered to the 'promotions' tab.
By sending from an email address authenticated against your domain your email is much more likely to be authenticated and delivered to he inbox. In the case above, that means using something like johndoe@hellenformayor.com.
There are exceptions to this such as setting up custom SFP/TXT records in your DNS but that would require technical expertise in DNS management.
