Sometimes you perform a search and want to add a code to the results.
If you want to add a code to only part of the results, then follow the instructions for How to add a code to part of a list.
When you want to add code everyone on the list, then the process is very easy.
Prerequisite. You will want to create your target code before you begin. For example, if you want to assign records to the code, holidayparty2020, then create that code first.
From the Constituents module. When you search from within Constituents area, then you will see the results as a list. At the bottom of the list is the ability to take action. You can take action on the full list or just part of the list.
To add the code to every record, select Take Action on Full List.
You will then be taken to the Take Action page, where you will click 'Mass Edit' existing records. The full list of records in the previous results is stored as the target action list.
In the mass-edit form, simply select the code you want to assign to this list and save.
From the Lists and Records module. From Lists and Reports, the process is mostly the same. The one difference is that the Lists and Reports sends you straight to the Take Action page, where you will select Mass-Edit existing records, as you would above, assign the code, and save.
